"I'm a real self-educated kind of guy," Bowie once said. "I read voraciously. Every book I ever bought, I have. I can't throw it away." This print unlocks that side of him, an infographic designed with visual nods to Blackstar, his final album, mapping the books that shaped one of music's most restlessly curious minds.

It ranges from Lolita and A Clockwork Orange to Blast, the literary magazine of Wyndham Lewis's Vorticist movement, and Orwell's 1984 alongside more obscure and genuinely strange works of fiction, poetry and philosophy. Bowie's reading wasn't a side interest, it was as central to his creative process as any record collection, and this print treats it with the same rigour you'd expect from a discography map.

Who’s Behind The Sense of Doubt ?

I’m Alejandro De Luna, the creator behind The Sense of Doubt; a solo studio in Madrid making wall art inspired by music, pop culture, and heritage. What began as a way to make sense of the records, places, and stories that shaped my life has grown into a visual archive that connects moods, history, and art.

I research, design, and hand-sign every piece myself in small batches, and today more than 10,000 art lovers in over 20 countries have my prints on their walls. People describe the work as “brilliantly researched,” “put together with great care,” and “a true labour of love.” That’s exactly what it is; no shortcuts, just me doing the work because I love it.
