Collection: Record Labels & Scenes
The labels that shaped a sound. From Factory Records' Manchester experiments to Creation's shoegaze roster, these prints trace the artists, releases, and eras behind the imprints that mattered — for the collector who reads the label as closely as the liner notes.

ABOUT THE SENSE OF DOUBT

Hi, I'm Alejandro De Luna, the founder behind The Sense of Doubt.
I'm a lifelong music obsessive, record collector and researcher fascinated by the stories behind artists, cities and cultural movements. Long before I began designing prints, I was travelling to record shops, concert venues and neighbourhoods that shaped the music I love, trying to understand not just what happened, but why it happened there.
Originally from Mexico City, I've lived in Stockholm, Hangzhou, London, Manchester, Berlin, Leipzig and now Madrid. Every place has influenced the way I research, see and document culture.
The artists I return to again and again are as varied as The Smiths, Joy Division, New Order, The Velvet Underground, Nico, Lou Reed, The Fall, Nick Cave, The Stooges, Iggy Pop, Ramones, Prince, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, The Cramps and Morrissey. What connects them isn't a genre, but a willingness to create something unmistakably their own.
That same philosophy shapes every print I make.
Each artwork begins with weeks or, more often, months of research. Books, documentaries, interviews, maps, archives and countless hours of fact-checking are distilled into visual pieces that reveal connections between artists, places and moments in history. The goal isn't simply to decorate a wall, but to create something that rewards a closer look every time you walk past it.
Today, more than 10,000 collectors in over 20 countries own a piece from The Sense of Doubt. Alongside the collection, I've also created countless commissioned artworks for collectors, musicians, businesses and cultural organisations looking to tell their own stories through bespoke visual timelines and prints. Every artwork is researched, designed, produced and hand-signed by me in my Madrid studio in small batches.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find a piece that means as much to you as it did to me while creating it.
