Why this period matters

Between 1978 and 1982, post-punk became one of the most innovative periods in British music.

Emerging from the aftermath of punk, artists explored new structures, production techniques, and aesthetics—laying the groundwork for alternative, electronic, and independent music for decades to come.

This print captures that moment of transition—where experimentation became influence.

About the Design

This project was independently researched and designed by Alejandro De Luna.

Developed through an in-depth study of records, labels, and the wider post-punk landscape, the print is intended as a structured visual reference—bringing clarity to a complex and highly interconnected movement.

Who’s Behind The Sense of Doubt ?

I’m Alejandro De Luna, the creator behind The Sense of Doubt; a solo studio in Madrid making wall art inspired by music, pop culture, and heritage. What began as a way to make sense of the records, places, and stories that shaped my life has grown into a visual archive that connects moods, history, and art.

I research, design, and hand-sign every piece myself in small batches, and today more than 10,000 art lovers in over 20 countries have my prints on their walls. People describe the work as “brilliantly researched,” “put together with great care,” and “a true labour of love.” That’s exactly what it is; no shortcuts, just me doing the work because I love it.
