Creation Records - Key Releases (1983-2000)

Alan McGee's label ran on instinct more than strategy for most of its life, and this print compiles the essential records from that run, 1983 to 2000, chronologically: singles, EPs, LPs and compilations from the artists on the roster, alongside some genuinely underrated deep cuts. The design uses a colour scheme that nods to The Jesus and Mary Chain's Upside Down, the debut single that arguably set Creation's whole tone before the label had fully found its identity.

The 72 records featured span artists including Primal Scream, My Bloody Valentine, The Weather Prophets, Biff Bang Pow!, Nikki Sudden, The Loft, Ed Ball, The Boo Radleys, Teenage Fanclub, Ride, Slowdive, Oasis and Super Furry Animals, tracing the label's arc from scrappy indie outsider to the home of the biggest British band of the 90s.
