These Terms & Conditions govern your use of www.thesenseofdoubt.com and any purchases made through our website.
By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Us
The Sense of Doubt is an independent design studio owned and operated by Alejandro De Luna, based in Madrid, Spain.
The Sense of Doubt researches, designs and sells original artworks, prints, limited editions and commissioned projects worldwide.
2. Eligibility
By placing an order you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or legal guardian;
- the information you provide is accurate and complete;
- you are legally able to enter into a binding contract.
3. Products
Every artwork displayed on this website has been independently researched and designed by The Sense of Doubt.
Due to differences in monitor calibration and screen settings, colours may vary slightly from the final printed artwork.
Frames, props and decorative items shown in product photographs are for display purposes only unless explicitly stated otherwise.
4. Limited Editions
Certain products may be offered as limited editions.
Once a limited edition has sold out, we reserve the right not to produce additional copies unless clearly stated otherwise.
5. Hand-Signed Prints
Where indicated on the product page, prints are individually hand-signed by Alejandro De Luna.
Minor variations in signature placement are normal and do not constitute a defect.
6. Product Availability
We make every effort to ensure product availability.
However, we reserve the right to:
- discontinue products;
- limit quantities;
- modify product specifications;
- refuse or cancel orders where necessary.
If we cancel an order before dispatch, a full refund will be issued.
7. Pricing
All prices are displayed in the currency shown on the website.
Prices may change without prior notice.
The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at checkout.
Import duties, customs charges or local taxes imposed by your country are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated.
8. Payments
We accept secure payments through approved payment providers including:
- Shopify Payments
- Shop Pay
- PayPal
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- major credit and debit cards
Orders will only be processed after payment has been successfully authorised.
9. Order Confirmation
After placing an order you will receive an email confirming receipt of your order.
This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of the order.
A contract is formed only when your order has been accepted and dispatched.
10. Shipping
Delivery estimates are provided for guidance only.
Although we aim to dispatch orders promptly, delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
Delays caused by customs, postal services, extreme weather, strikes or other circumstances beyond our control are not considered breaches of contract.
11. Incorrect Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.
If an order is returned because of:
- an incorrect address;
- failure to collect the parcel;
- refusal to accept delivery;
the customer may be required to pay the shipping costs for resending the order.
12. Customs & Import Duties
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, import taxes or clearance fees required by their country.
The Sense of Doubt has no control over these charges.
13. Right of Withdrawal
If you are purchasing as a consumer within the European Union, you may have a statutory right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving your goods.
This right does not apply where products have been:
- made to your specifications;
- personalised;
- commissioned;
- otherwise exempt under applicable consumer legislation.

14. Damaged Items
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Please include:
- photographs of the packaging;
- photographs of the damage;
- your order number.
Where appropriate we will repair, replace or refund the affected item.
15. Lost Parcels
If your order appears to have been lost in transit, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will investigate the shipment with the relevant carrier.
Replacement or refund decisions will be made based on the carrier's investigation and the shipping service selected.
16. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including but not limited to:
- artwork;
- designs;
- layouts;
- illustrations;
- graphics;
- timelines;
- maps;
- product photography;
- logos;
- branding;
- written content;
is the intellectual property of Alejandro De Luna and The Sense of Doubt unless otherwise stated.
All rights are reserved.
17. Copyright
Purchasing a print does not transfer copyright.
Customers may not:
- reproduce artwork;
- scan prints;
- create digital copies;
- sell reproductions;
- modify artwork for commercial purposes;
- use artwork commercially without written permission.
18. Personal Use
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, all artwork is sold for personal, private or decorative use only.
Commercial use requires prior written permission.
19. Commissioned Work
For commissioned projects:
- quotations are valid for the stated period;
- production begins after agreed payment arrangements;
- revision rounds are limited as agreed before work commences;
- copyright remains with The Sense of Doubt unless expressly assigned in writing;
- clients receive only the usage rights agreed within the commission contract.
Separate licensing agreements may apply.
20. Website Content
We aim to ensure all information on this website is accurate.
However, we do not guarantee that descriptions, pricing, availability or other content will always be free from errors.
We reserve the right to correct errors without prior notice.
21. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- interfere with website security;
- attempt unauthorised access;
- upload malicious software;
- scrape or copy website content without permission;
- use automated systems to overload the website.
22. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Sense of Doubt shall not be liable for:
- indirect losses;
- consequential damages;
- lost profits;
- business interruption;
- delays caused by third parties;
- events beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.

We shall not be responsible for delays or failures resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

- governmental actions;
- postal disruptions;
- cyberattacks;
- supplier failures.

25. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Spain.
Where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide additional rights, those rights remain unaffected.
