Irish music's global reach is disproportionate to the island's size, and this print traces 42 of the artists responsible, chronologically, spanning genres and generations rather than sticking to one scene. The Dubliners anchor the folk tradition that runs through much of what followed, while Thin Lizzy and Rory Gallagher represent Irish rock's harder-edged 70s output, Phil Lynott in particular becoming one of the first Black Irish rock stars to achieve major international recognition. Horslips fused traditional Irish music with rock in a way that predated and arguably influenced the entire Celtic rock genre.
The print continues through Christy Moore's politically engaged folk songwriting, Van Morrison's singular, decades-spanning catalogue, and The Undertones' brief but perfect run of Derry punk singles, into U2's arena-scale global success and Sinéad O'Connor's fearless, often controversial career. The Cranberries and The Corrs carried Irish music into 90s pop and rock radio worldwide, and the print closes with Fontaines D.C., proof the tradition of distinctly Irish songwriting is still very much alive.

Who’s Behind The Sense of Doubt ?
I’m Alejandro De Luna, the creator behind The Sense of Doubt; a solo studio in Madrid making wall art inspired by music, pop culture, and heritage. What began as a way to make sense of the records, places, and stories that shaped my life has grown into a visual archive that connects moods, history, and art.
I research, design, and hand-sign every piece myself in small batches, and today more than 10,000 art lovers in over 20 countries have my prints on their walls. People describe the work as “brilliantly researched,” “put together with great care,” and “a true labour of love.” That’s exactly what it is; no shortcuts, just me doing the work because I love it.
