Concierto Histórico: 21 noches con Prince en la O2 Arena de Londres
R&B, funk, pop, psicodelia, hard rock, metal, electrónica, hip-hop, jazz, blues, folk…nada es imposible para Prince.
Prince, el que probablemente es el artista más dotado en la historia de la música popular; uno de los genios más prolíficos de todos los tiempos que ha publicado más de 600 canciones pero que los fanáticos y gente cercana dicen que puede tener alrededor de 4000 temas guardados. El que puede tocar cualquier instrumento de forma virtuosa y como si fuera poco, tener un rango vocal envidiable para entregar piezas que tienen su sello como artista con el control total de su arte. El genio multi instrumentista se convirtió en residente londinense del 1 de Agosto al 21 de Septiembre de 2007 para ofrecer 21 shows en la O2 Arena con capacidad para recibir a 20,000 asistentes por show. El soldout fue inmediato y cada noche ofreció un setlist diferente. El costo de los tickets fue de £31.21 haciendo alusión a su disco 3121. Más allá de los 21 shows en la O2 Arena y no conforme con dar sets exhaustivos, después de los conciertos, Prince ofreció 12 shows adicionales más privados para 3000 personas en el club IndigO2 donde abarcó canciones que no fueron incluidas en la O2 Arena así como una vasta cantidad de homenajes a artistas que lo han influenciado.
